Dr. Dennis Willingham is the Superintendent at the Walker County Board of Education. Dr. Willingham taught special education and social sciences for 6 years at all levels (elementary/ middle/ high school). He was an assistant principal for 5 years at all levels (elementary/ middle/ high school) and a principal for 10 years at a K-8 school. He is an adjunct professor at the University of West Alabama in the Instructional Leadership Program. Dr. Willingham most recently presented “Strategic Planning” at the COSSBA National Conferences for School Boards in Atlanta, GA. and Louisville, KY.
