A native of suburban Chicago, Dr. R.J. Gravel (@rjgravel) will begin serving as Superintendent of Glenbrook High School District 225 in July 2025. He has served as an educator, school business official, and technology leader across elementary, secondary, and higher education settings. R.J. advocates locally and nationally for effective resource use and meaningful technology integration in PreK-12 education. He has served on the Illinois Association of School Business Officials Board of Directors, contributed to professional publications, and promoted collaboration among school leaders to support student and staff success. He also co-coordinates Northern Illinois University’s School Business Management program.
