Dr. Matthew L. Montgomery has served as Superintendent of Lake Forest Districts 67 and 115 since 2021, leading education, finance, and operations across Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood, Illinois. He guided the successful $105.7 million referendum to modernize Lake Forest High School. A strong advocate for community engagement, he led the development of the Portrait of a Learner and five-year strategic plans to shape a future-ready vision. Previously a superintendent in Ohio, he began his career as a science teacher and principal. Dr. Montgomery is active in AASA and presents nationally on leadership and educational transformation.
